3/12/2008NY Gov. Spitzer to resign this morning, expected at 10:30am CST
 Sources tell several media outlets that NY Gov. Eliot Spitzer will resign this morning: Gov. Eliot Spitzer, reeling from revelations that he had been a client of a prostitution ring, will resign today, some of his staff members said they have been told. Mr. Spitzer is scheduled to speak today at 11:30 a.m. at his Manhattan office, a top aide said.
Lt. Gov. David A. Paterson would then be sworn in to replace him in Albany. It is believe that Spitzer will announce today, with the resignation becoming effective on Monday. Lt. Gov. Spitzer is on his way to his midtown office. And, as to be expected, the path of his SUV is being followed by media helicopters above. This looks like OJ Simpson redux.
