Randall M. "Randy" Hultgren serves as the State Representative of the 40th District of Illinois. His district presently includes Wheaton, Winfield, Warrenville, north Naperville, north Lisle, and portions of Glen Ellyn, Glendale Heights, and Carol Stream. He serves as co-Chairman of the Property Tax and School Funding Committee, and is on the following committees: Financial Institutions, Labor, Environment and Energy, and Insurance. He is also a member of the Telecommunications Rewrite Committee and the Elder Abuse Task Force. Randy is the Republican Candidate for State Representative of the 95th District, which includes Wheaton, Winfield, Warrenville, West Chicago, east Batavia, and east Geneva.

In 1988, Randy graduated from Bethel College, in St.Paul, Minnesota. He was the Office Manager, Scheduler, and Legislative Assistant for Congressman J. Dennis Hastert from 1988-1990. He then attended Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he graduated with his Juris Doctorate degree in June 1993.

In November 1994, Randy was elected to serve as a member of the DuPage County Board and Forest Preserve, representing DuPage County's Fourth District, where he served until his election in 1998. He is also Vice President and Partner at Fortress Financial Management in Wheaton, Illinois. Randy also is the immediate past Chairman of the Milton Township Republican Central Committee.

Randy and his wife Christy have been married for more than 10 years. They reside in a historic Wheaton home that was built in 1867. The Hultgrens have worked to restore the home.

Christy Hultgren taught second grade for several years and is now a full-time wife and mother. The Hultgrens have three children: Karsten, 8 ; Kylie, 6; and Kaden, who was born in November, 2001. Randy grew up in Wheaton where his family owns and operates the Hultgren Funeral Home.
